Andrea has worked with me on several projects – most notably in coaching some executive colleagues. On all occasions she has been an exceptional coach and helped her clients achieve lasting results, and in one case the promotion they deserved.
She is a strong original thinker, and has always helped me to tackle issues in the best way possible. After several years of success in different management /leadership roles in Thermo Fisher Scientific, I was provided with the opportunity to lead the company’s market leading Anatomical Pathology business. With over 1500 employees and manufacturing facilities in Europe, US and China, the ability to set clear strategy and alignment of the organisations leadership and capabilities would be key to our success. Even more so, when , as is often the case in large multinational corporations, demonstrating traction and momentum to new line managers is critical to establishing trust and credibility in one’s decision making and the course set for the business.
Working with Andrea on a 1:1 senior exec coaching level, helped tremendously in challenging and supporting my thought process and associated actions at multiple levels- and equally important, constantly benchmarking how effective these actions were in achieving both my personal and business goals for the organisation. As the chair of the Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival I was looking for a consultant to support the organisation to develop its programme for the next 3-5 years. A senior manager in an art organisation in Liverpool recommended Andrea Adams for this task. Thereafter, I worked closely with Andrea to develop and run her brief for the board members and staff. It was an outstanding result.
Andrea’s professional skills and experience in capacity building and leadership enabled the staff and board members to explore the strength and the challenges ahead of them and the directions of the journey to achieve organisational objectives. Andrea skilfully took the team with her through a rigorous process starting with the individuals and finishing with team dynamics drawing a solid and convincing plan for the organisation to work on in the next three years.
The team coaching that Andrea provided to our senior executive team was a tremendously useful part of our transformation programme. The coaching allowed us to reflect on ourselves and consider the actions we could take to become an even more effective team. Andrea’s insight, technical skills and experience supported our senior management team (the Bluecoat) in tackling an organisational restructure by clarify the organisations objectives so that decisions could be made clearly and implemented with both strength and humanity.
Working with a large group of separate organisations (Liverpool Arts Regeneration Consortium) Andrea guided them towards understanding the principles and practice of collaborative working and so prepared the group to face the difficult terrain that had to be traversed.
Hermes UK first worked with Triumpha in 2013 to facilitate a Board Strategy Workshop. Prior to the event Triumpha sought feedback/input from key stakeholder groups which ensured a broad perspective and healthy/challenging discussions on topics including strategic options, developing key processes and culture/behaviours. The outputs included a revised vision statement for the business and clarification of the brand values and differences between the Hermes and myHermes brands. The vision has been clearly defined and quantified in terms of customers/markets, channels, financials, service, people & culture & other categories too.

Worked with Andrea on a large scale business transformation project,involving central Government,the MOD/Armed Forces and the Defence Industrial Base. Large scale reductions to defence expenditure was the project goal and naturally personnel decisions were centrefold to achieving this. Andrea’s thought leadership and strategic direction proved invaluable as business requirements changed within departments, organisations needed restructuring and people needed to become rerolled, trained, geographically moved or regrettably displaced. Throughout this time of large scale change Andrea,s calm approach yet clear resolve to maintain direction, backed up by professionalism and experience,resulted in this project being capable of successfully managing the variety of issues it needed to resolve.
