Business Manager

As business manager, Gemma makes sure the wheel is greased. An integral part of the team, she makes sure our team operates at a high level and that projects are well managed.

Gemma is our award-winning Business Manager and Executive Assistant.

She has over 15 years’ experience as a C-suite EA, PA and VA in global businesses including Premier Farnell, Yorkshire Water and Arup. She has supported some of the UK’s most senior leaders, and specialises in working with directors responsible for HR, transformation and business change.

Gemma is a PA industry expert; she is a passionate advocate of the role of the Assistant as a strategic business partner and a regular speaker on the evolution of the PA in modern business.

She has gathered a number of industry awards over the course of her career, including 3-time winner of Yorkshire VA of the Year and finalist in the 2019 Pitman SuperAchievers Global PA of the Year.

Gemma is a contributing author for Executive Support magazine and also provides mentoring, training and coaching for aspiring and established Assistants.

As well as being an incredibly well-organised and effective PA, Gemma is an emotionally intelligent individual – she understands, and is able to demonstrate, what makes people ‘tick’, and how you create an environment around them conducive to positive change. Clients commend her ability to move easily between the big picture and detailed execution, and she effectively utilises the knowledge and skills gained over her career in supporting transformation and change projects to ensure that every aspect of each assignment has been carefully considered and seamlessly organised.

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Administrative Management (FInstAM) and the Executive and Personal Assistants Association (FEPAA).

She also holds certificates in Executive Coaching (AoEC, 2019) and Digital Marketing (Shaw, 2017).
