Ali Herdman
Never afraid to tell it like it is, Ali has tremendous talent for putting people at ease, facilitating change across all three levels of business and turning concepts into action. She was worked with an incredible number of organisations both as a FTSE 100 executive and as a consultant.
I am an Organisation Development Consultant and Executive Coach specialising in organisation, leadership & team development and managing change in complex adaptive systems.
My work is grounded in positive psychology and appreciative methodologies which allows me to bring passion and energy to working with diverse and complex groups and organisations while helping them to co-create a more healthy and productive ‘system’.
Experience
My first career in financial services included senior HR and Organisation Development positions in the UK and Internationally. My last corporate role was head of Organisation Development for a FTSE 100 global insurance group.
Since 2004 I have specialised in organisational behaviour and development and leading and managing change through many successful assignments in private and public sector organisations around the world. I excel in working with clients to develop participative ways to take a ‘whole system’ view whilst engaging and mobilising people to co-create change at an individual, team and organisational level.
My experience working with large and diverse groups has included the highly successful NHS OD programme and many programmes in the FE sector. I designed and delivered the Kirklees College ‘Aspire’ programme which won the 2015 AoC Beacon Award for staff development. I have also worked with a number of Boards and senior management teams on leadership, team and strategy development. I have provided service transformation consultancy to a number of public and private sector organisations.
My private sector work includes developing the global leadership ‘pathway’ for one of the world’s largest manufacturing groups and providing system-level change consultancy for a large global retailer.
I am also a trustee of a charity working to provide mental health and other support services to children and young people in Liverpool and am passionate about the potential of people to participate in, and shape, the systems within which they live and work.
